Music program

Our Secondary School music programs starts from 6th grade, where all students take one semester and develop foundational music skills.

Band Program:  ANS is the only school in Nicaragua to offer an American style band program where students learn to play wind instruments.  Students in the upper levels perform at concerts on and off campus and travel to international festivals.

• 7th grade:  Beginner Band (semester-long)
• 8th grade:  Intermediate Band (year-long)
• 9th-12th grade:  Concert Band (year-long)
• 10th-12th grade:  Wind Ensemble (year-long)

Strings Program:  students in grades 7-12 can learn to play violin or cello (year-long)

Guitar:  students in grades 9-12 can learn to play guitar.  Instruction is available for beginners and experienced guitarists.
