Being quarantined felt easy at first. I had the chance to sleep more and bond with my family. However, we’re already near day 50 of quarantine, and I’m running out of things to do. I tried writing, reading, drawing, sleeping, watching movies, doing exercise, and even painting my closet. These past weeks I’ve realized that despite hating having to wake up at 5:00 in the morning every day, school was actually fun, and it gave me purpose. Nevertheless, I know that it is important to understand that this is what we have to do in order to prevent the further spread of COVID-19.
As I try to get accustomed to being stuck in my house, I wanted to share how a normal day usually goes for me:
7:00 AM: I wake up, brush my teeth, wash my face, read my emails and plan my day while I play music.
7:30 AM: I go downstairs and make some breakfast. Today, I made a bowl of fruits with yogurt. I ate it while spending time with my mom.
8:30 AM: I shower and start getting ready for online classes, which start at 9 a.m.
9:00 AM: I join my first class, which is English.
10:00 AM: I join my second class, which is History.
11:00 AM: I join my third class, which is AP Human Geography.
12:00 PM: I keep working on my homework from AP Human Geography.
12:40 PM: I go downstairs to get a small snack before my last class of the day.
1:00 PM: I join my last class, which is Spanish Literature.
2:00 PM: I write in my journal and go outside to play with my dog.
3:00 PM: I start doing my AP homework, which consists of working on study guides for my AP exam.
5:00 PM: I read the book I was assigned for my Spanish class.
7:00 PM: I eat dinner with my family.
8:30 PM: I go upstairs and call my friends so that we can play some games until we get tired.
10:30 PM: Go to sleep!
