About what I do since I can’t leave the house
7:00 am-8:00 am: Woke up, started this journal, ate my breakfast, brushed my teeth, and took a shower. Now the important question, why am I writing a journal entry? Well, I thought it would be fun, not because of what my day will be like, but because I have always wanted to make a journal about my life. And even if it may not be entertaining for others, I have to say I believe that my life is entertaining, not because of what I do, but because I am doing it. If you don’t find fun in anything you are doing, then why are you doing it in the first place? Because for me, writing this entry right now is really fun.
8:00 am-9:00 am: Around this time I dried myself, put on shorts and my school shirt that I needed to wear for my online classes, and while I was waiting continued watching an anime called Fate/Zero.
9:00 am-10:00 am: At 9 I started my first period of class, but the teacher didn’t log on, and it wasn’t until 15 minutes passed that we found out there were connectivity issues, and she was late because of that, so around 9:30 we actually started the class, and we finished at 10.
10:00 am-11:00 am: I logged into my second Google Meets, this time it was math, in which I sat there for 45 minutes listening as the teacher taught a subject that I already learned. After being released I worked on the online activity and waited for the next class to begin.
11:00 am-12:00 pm: I logged into my third Google Meets, this time it was Spanish. We learned about the themes and characteristics of Romanticism, and did an activity on that, overall it was quick and I learned something.
12:00 pm-1:00 pm: I had my one-hour lunch break which I didn’t like because I had to wait an hour for my final class of the day to start, and even though it’s called lunch time I am pretty sure people eat their lunch later than this time. While waiting for the hour to pass I continued watching Fate/Zero until my final class was about to begin.
1:00 pm-2:00 pm: I began my final class, chemistry, in which we explored more on molecular shapes and their geometry. Honestly, I don’t like the class, and it isn’t because of the subject or the teacher, but it because I don’t find it useful, but in the end at least I learned something.
2:00 pm-3:00 pm: After finished online classes, I went to eat lunch, since it is at this time that my parents eat, so I have to eat at this time as well, and we talked about whatever, but a particular topic that came about was the police shutting down a store just because they were selling hand sanitizer and masks, because it would “spark panic”, and I’m just thinking, are you seeing what is happening around the world! After eating, I then brushed my teeth.
3:00 pm-4:00 pm: At this time I have my free time, so I played a round of one of my favorite games, but one I haven’t played in a very long time, Town Of Salem, because of the pandemic happening I thought more players would be online, and there were, however… I ended up not winning any game I played.
4:00 pm-5:00 pm: I opened my computer and finished both the online activity for math, and the weekly question for this week. The weekly question was asking what I do offline and I felt ashamed answering that I only watch TV shows and movies… I mean you can’t go outside, what are you supposed to do, and Fate/Zero is probably going to become my favorite show of all time if the quality stays how it is, so I see this as an absolute win. Meanwhile, the online activity was really easy.
5:00 pm-6:00 pm: Since I was part of a Stock Market Activity I talked to my group and told them to work on a group activity we had to finish, and that everybody has a part to do and if they didn’t it is their fault. I mean come on you have one job, well two if you count each question as one job. It took some time until everyone got to work, but at least we got the work done.
6:00 pm-7:00 pm: I finished up my second activity of the stock market game which took way longer than I thought it would since I needed to search for a company I would invest in, and I chose Netflix. With the coronavirus pandemic everyone will be self-quarantined in their homes and when they have nothing better to do they will resort to streaming services, and most likely Netflix. I then ate my dinner, with nothing really notable coming out of my and my parent’s discussion.
7:00 pm-9:00 pm: Now this part of my entry may be cheating, but it’s because of a good reason (for me at least). I continued the anime I was watching and it’s going into the seconds season. I was hyped because they ended the first one on a cliffhanger, and the next six episodes of the second season were insane, quick-paced, and incredible. I am not kidding when I tell you I did not move from my bed in those two hours. The twists, the action, the character moments, the betrayals, and most importantly, the deaths were all impacting and unexpected especially considering who the characters that bit the bullet were. It was two hours of nonstop excitement and unless the ending is trash because there are still six episodes, it may actually be my favorite show of all time.
9:00 pm-9:17 pm: To finish up my day I brushed my teeth, finished this journal entry and are now about to go to sleep. Overall it was a good day, aside from some boredom in math, and some annoying things in chemistry, it wasn’t a bad day. And to top it all off, tomorrow is Friday, and a “b”-day which I prefer way more than “a”-days. Reading back on what I have written today, it really makes me think about how much time I have now because of the pandemic happening right now. One hour period classes feel really short, especially since I only look at the teacher for about 15 minutes. I see my parents much more often and we now often play board games such as UNO. However, just because I am still entertained by watching shows and movies, and not having to physically go to school, it doesn’t mean that I should be happy that it is happening, because people are dying and being hurt, and I would never wish that upon anybody, but that is how life is: normal people can be hurt, even if they did nothing wrong.
