On September 3rd, from 2:15pm to 3:00pm, the American Nicaraguan School held its annual Club Fair. Numerous students attended the event that took place in the Tiger Square.
After the last bell rang, students excitedly rushed to the location, eager to join a good cause. They found sixteen clubs ready willing to share information and recruit new members. Among them were current clubs: ALAAS, Aproquen, Conanca, Drama Club, Green Club, HACIA Democracy, DALE, Hogar Puente Amistad, Operation Smile, Pep Squad, Pink Club, Habitat for Humanity, Puzzle Club, and Rescatando Huellas, as well as two new clubs: E-Sports Club and Seeds for Progress.
Tables were set up for each club, decorated with colorful tablecloths, banners, and posters. The participants promoted their clubs with varying strategies. ALAAS, a club dedicated to raising autism awareness, handed out bookmark calendars while the Drama Club gave out small posters.
Students were enthusiastic about visiting the Club Fair. Sophomore Caroline Ketelhohn shared that “the Club Fair was a promising experience. I was able to see the meaningful changes the students at ANS were planning for this year. I’m excited to contribute to the clubs that I am now in.”
