In preparation for the 2019 AASCA SOCCER XXVII, hosted in Panama, the American Nicaraguan School is going all out in practice sessions.
Being led by captains Eduardo Alvarez and Guillermo Teran, along with Coach Roger Mendez, the Boy’s Varsity team has been practicing six days a week. Coach Mendez reported that, “the team is strong as ever! Our experienced players serve as an example for the younger players. We practice hard, pushing the boys to their limits and we play against the best teams in the country to prepare for what’s coming in the tournament.”

The Girls Varsity team, led by captain and goalkeeper Ana Rizo, alongside coach Arguello, is training hard. Coach Arguello reported that, “Although the team is fairly new, we have seen great improvement. We look like a veteran team! Our formation has changed completely, our work ethic has changed completely… this might be the key to our success.”
Eye of the Tiger wishes the best of luck for our varsity teams, and the best of luck to our rivals because the Tigers are coming. After all, as Coach Mendez said: “our hard work will show on the Panamanian courts!”
