“Zanate” by Mr. Diaz

We asked Mr. Miguel Angel Diaz, who is an illustrator and contemporary artist and also the school’s art teacher, to draw something meaningful to him. We then asked him what was the meaning behind his drawing.

Mr. Diaz stated that: “I like “Zanates” because for starters I think that we can find in animals a lot about ourselves. I like that zanates have adapted to live in the same environments as ourselves. I think that many people find zanates as dirty and trashy, but I find them as inspirational.”IMG_0961
