Solar Eclipse at ANS

On Monday the 21st of this year, ANS students were given the opportunity to see the solar eclipse. Though the eclipse wasn’t a total eclipse here in Nicaragua, the event was well attended.

Students gathered on the math lawn of the high school building and were instructed by science teacher, Mr. Vannini. He helped them see the eclipse in three ways: with two different telescopes and with special solar filtered glasses.

ANS senior, Arianna Mendez, commented, “The fact that we were able to capture the solar eclipse at our ANS campus was really an amazing and such a cool experience. Its fascinating to see how technology at ANS develops and improves everyday.”

Thanks to Middle School science teacher Mr. Julio Vannini for making this event possible!
