“Blood is the most precious gift that anyone can give to another person — the gift of life. A decision to donate your blood can save a life, or even several if your blood is separated into its components — red cells, platelets and plasma — which can be used individually for patients with specific conditions” (World Health Organization).
Every year, ANS hosts a National Blood Drive, where students and teachers over 16 years of age gather to donate blood that goes to the Nicaraguan Red Cross. This year, the blood drive will take place in the Ossi Room from 7 am to 3 pm on Friday, November 11. Teachers and students are encouraged to donate blood for this good cause and help those people in need in our country.
