As the school year comes to an end, the rising seniors prepare to occupy their spot as the oldest bunch of kids at school. The color orange will replace the pink and will signify a new era of orange dominance. Future seniors are ready to take this responsibility to set an example and be prepared to off to college.
The “Senior Takeover” is the mark of a new age at the American Nicaraguan School and will be held on the math lawn the 20th of May. A water slide will be used in this celebration which will take place at the end of school (2:05). This long established tradition is one that many future seniors take pride in participating in. Many current juniors can’t wait to experience their senior year, while others worry about the obstacles ahead.
One of the juniors we interviewed was Maria Valeria, she said “I believe that senior year will be filled with obstacles that can be stressful, but the outcome will be one of a united grade.” Another junior, Adriana Delgadillo was quoted saying “I think that the senior experience will be bittersweet due to all kinds of pressures we will face, but the reward will be worth all the struggle.”
Although, everyone is scared of the uncertainty that lies ahead, the class of 2017 has proved to be one of the most united and hardworking at ANS. With this union and friendship it is almost certain to say that this grade will strive for excellence in their final year in this school. The school year of 2016-2017 will be an unforgettable one for the warriors dressed in orange.
