Director of Communications and Public Relations

The American Nicaraguan School is seeking a candidate for a position of Coordinator of Communications and Public Relations. The qualified candidate will promote/market the school’s programs and accomplishments through various media, websites, social networks, editorial coverage, events, public appearances, advertising, and other outreach methods. Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or related field.
- Minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience in the field(s) of communications, public relations, marketing and/or related position.
- Excellent command of the English and the Spanish language
- Excellent writing skills
- Proficient in design Suite programs (In Design, Illustrator, Photoshop, Flash, others)
- Photographic skills

College Counselor
|
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s degree in Student Affairs, Education, Counseling, or related field strongly preferred
- Prior experience as a College Counselor with a successful track record of student admissions to college preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Willingness to take initiative and work with a dynamic team
- Meticulous organizational and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills in relating to multiple audiences, including students, parents, and educators
- Ability to connect with students and adults across difference and interact with others with grace, competence, and warmth
- English/Spanish proficiency

Elementary Classroom Teacher (Local Hire)
|
- BA Elementary Education or similar fields
- Minimum 2 Years’ Experience

Early Childhood Classroom Teacher (Local Hire)
|
- BA Elementary Education or similar fields.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
