  • Bachelor’s degree in subject area and/or valid teaching credential in subject area.
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience
  • Masters’ preferred
  • Ability to implement the workshop model and assess on growth is advantageous.

Elementary School

Primary Classroom Teacher

Responsibilities include:

  • Develop lesson plans and analyze tasks that translate lessons into developmentally appropriate learning experiences.
  • Revises existing curricular materials, including unit plans and assessments, in response to student achievement data.
  • Develop assessments that measure progress toward the academic standards.
  • Ensure that students master grade level standards
  • Implement the school’s policies and procedures regarding student conduct and expectations.
  • Actively participate in grade-level meetings, collaborative planning, and professional development.
  • Works collaboratively with instructional staff and parents to champion a high-quality education for every student.

Qualifications include:

  • Successful history of working with a diverse student population
  • Teaching experience, minimum 2 year
  • Masters degree in related field preferred

Technology Department

Department: Innovation & Technology Division

Position: Educational Technology Coach

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or advanced student in IT Career (Computer Science, Systems, Graphic Design, etc)
  • Advanced working knowledge with G Suite Apps

We are looking for a person the knowledge and ability to:

  • Coach and support individual teachers in increasing use of technology to positively impact student performance in the classroom .
  • Develop and conduct professional development sessions on integrating technology into the curriculum for faculty.
  • Develop and conduct professional development sessions for students and parents.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Possess strong organizational skills.
  • Must be able to function in a multi-task environment, as part of a team and individually.
  • Able to use and learn a variety of technology applications and tools.

The ELI is an extension of the American Nicaraguan School where a broader base of learners can have the opportunity to learn English as additional language. With over 40 years of experience in the field English for Language Learners, the ELI is considered to be one of the most prestigious language centers in the country.
