Elementary STUCO Works to Improve Learning in Sister School

The Elementary Student Council recently visited sister school 15 de Septiembre in order to deliver a donation of school supplies collected in December, as well as to complete facility improvements worth up to U$ 1,500.

The school supply donation, which was presented in the third day of 15 de Septiembre’s school year,  included pencils, notebooks, paint, clay, puzzles among other items and was the result of the Elementary School families joint support for the cause.

In terms of facility improvements, efforts have been made this year in building class dividers and replacing all doors in the school. “Before their classroom had no divisors, which meant no privacy and a lot of volume/noise control issues, not to mention that the divisors were old and basically rotting and of course were a real safety hazard for the students.” comments Mrs. Jackie Lacayo, 5th Grade teacher.

The student council plans to continue raising  funds in support of the school. Future projects include donating basketball hoops and new window screens.

Thank you to all the ANS Community for supporting this cause!
