English 8 Program

In English and Language Arts 8 students work together to become more active and inquiring readers and develop a greater appreciation for the art of writing.  An emphasis is placed on becoming a well-rounded community and global citizen by exploring works from a wide array of authors.  Our goal is to use different literary genres such as short stories, novels, plays, and poems to develop high critical thinking skills and write in a variety of forms such as narrative, expository and literary analysis.
