-          Choose one of the books provided to read during your summer vacation.

 

-          Choose one of the following activities and complete by Tuesday, August 5th (see below for detailed instructions for each activity):

OPTION 1:    MOBILE

Create a 3-D, hanging mobile for your book. This mobile must include the following elements:

 

         List of characters and brief character descriptions.

         Brief and original plot summary.

         Three pictures showing different settings.

         Two major symbols or themes the book addresses, with a brief

description.

 

OPTION 2:    BOOK CUBE

Create a 3-D cube (with six sides). Each side will be devoted to one of the following six elements:

 

 

         List of characters and brief character descriptions.

         Brief and original plot summary.

         Two sides with pictures showing different settings and a brief description.

         Two major symbols or themes the book addresses, with a brief

description.

 

OPTION 3:    LETTER TO THE AUTHOR

Write a letter to the author sharing your experience after reading his/her book. Include the following, in separate paragraphs:

 

           

         Title of the book you chose and why your chose to read it.

         Who your favorite character was and why.

         Your favorite part of the book, and why.

         Any questions or comments concerning this book, or future books.
