Projects

The major focus for the Technology Department this year will be to integrate technology. To accomplish this, Elementary teachers accompany their students to Technology class; moreover the preschool (K4 & K5) and First Grade are visiting the technology labs twice a week. Connectivity in the classrooms is more accessible in the Elementary school with the connection of wireless routers to bring any of the three mobile labs that are housed in the Library. The Secondary school teachers continue to innovate classroom activities by using Internet access to on-line tutorials, using textbook software, using web page design or film editing to create projects and presentations. The ideas from parents, faculty and students keep flowing on how ANS can continue to integrate Technology on a daily basis in every classroom in every subject area in all grade levels.
Other projects and accomplishments of this school year include:

Replacing outdated computers with newer ones and purchasing a new server.
Purchasing Multimedia equipment.
Integration of Powerschool.
Integration of Sharepoint.
Updating educational and productivity software.
Reviewing and updating K-12 Technology curriculum objectives.
Increasing the use of technology in general throughout the school.
Training teachers in the use of applications such as Power Point, Excel, etc.
Training teachers in every aspect of technology integration.
