On October 7, ten rookie ANS swimmers represented our school at “Los Delfines” winning the third place among 5 clubs and more than 100 competitors who attended the competition. It was the first interscholastic competition for our athletes, and they did a great job! The swimmers who represented ANS were: Jonathan Gallegos ( 1 Silver medal), Michelle Thurnhoffer ( 2 bronze medals), Ricky Huang, Ivan San Martin, Vito Villavicencio, Anyi Hui, Alexandra Diaz-Albertini, Diego Ayala, Rodrigo Llanes, Jordan Gallegos, Nonny Pallson, Magda Morice and Lucia Morice.
On Wednesday, October 10, our students in grades K4 to 2 grade participated in the IV Elementary Swimming Festival. 83 students swam and showed their parents the progress they have made in their regular swimming course, which is taught during PE hours. Around 200 parents came to cheer on their children. On the next day it was the time for 49 students from 3, 4 and 5 grades to show their improvement in the crawl and backstroke. Again a lot of parents supported this activity. In this festival everyone is a winner, so all the participants received a gold medal.
On October 27, 8 ANS swimmers participated in the “Las Orcas” anniversary. ANS swimmers won a total of 4 gold, 6 silver and 4 bronze medals. See table below.
