Message from the Athletic Director
Oswaldo Ortiz F.

Recently I visited some schools in Broward County, Miami, where I observed how they work and how they organize the PE program and extracurricular activities. We are very pleased to share with the community that ANS is on the right track and, in most cases, exceeds the standards of schools in the US. However, lots of good ideas were picked up and will be applied in time for the benefit of our students.

The first Elementary Intramural Soccer Games
(October 25-November 30) finished last week. Seventy-two students, including 14 girls, participated in the event. Certificates of participation were given out to all and medals to the first and second place teams. This event promoted important values such as good sportsmanship, commitment, and fair play. Our Elementary students had a really good time. Similar events will be organized next semester.

As ANS is aware of the importance of constant training and continuous improvement, two of our Elementary PE teachers, Graciela Silva and Arlean Pacheco, will be attending an international basketball training camp to be held on December 4-6, sponsored by FIBA America, FENIBAL, and a local university. The knowledge our teachers will get will definitely benefit out students involved in regular PE and/or the extracurricular program.
