  • Swimming. Andrey Kulyk. The Long Course (50 meters) National Open Championship took place on March 15, 16 & 17. Mr. Kulyk represented “Las Pirañas ANS” and won silver medal in 50 m butterfly, gold medal in 50 m. breaststroke and gold medal in 50 m freestyle. Overall our team placed fourth among 6 clubs.

     Sixth grade swimming. During February month the most outstanding swimmers in the 25 meters Freestyle race were: Girls- Alessandra Vega, Amalia Lacayo, Maria Nelly Bendaña, and Maria Alejandra Rodriguez. Boys- Mateo Owen, Julio Chamorro, Carlos Gonzalez Ong, Javier Terán.

    The ANS Kermesse took place on Friday March 23. The kermesse was a success and so were the matches. ANS U-11 played Lincoln and the Girls Varsity Volleyball Team played Lincoln as well. The Boys Varsity Soccer Team played an exhibition fast soccer tournament.

    Notre Dame Cup. The Notre Dame Cup was played between January 29- March 29. We participated with the Boys Soccer teams U-11, U-13. They both achieved 3rd place. The Girls Soccer team U-15 achieved 1st place. The boys soccer team U-15 achieved 4th place. The Basketball Girls U-13 achieved 2nd place and the Boys Varsity Basketball team achieved 1st place undefeated.  It was a great tournament for our teams!! There were also some ANS students who had an awesome performance and were recognized: Varsity Boys Basketball: Tom Hooker- MVP; Jack Brennan – Best shooter; Girls Soccer U-15: Adriana Solorzano- Best Goalkeeper; Carolina Montealegre- MVP.

  • Volleyball. The eight grade PE class played an exciting intramural tournament during PE time. The class was divided into 16 teams. By playing in such a tournament our students were able to apply all the technical tips taught by their teacher Ms. Silva, and to have a good time doing it.
