Swimming August 2007

Welcome to the wonderful world of ANS swimming!  We are pleased that your child has enrolled in our swim program.

Swimming at ANS is becoming an increasingly popular and successful sport.  Last year about 50 students from pre-kindergarten (K-4) to Gr. 12 participated in our program and, as a result of disciplined training, many won medals in local tournaments.

The ANS swim Program works to instill in students a passion and love for this sport.
Training sessions focus on team formation, conditioning, and a solid technical foundation.  The swimming program also offers challenging and rewarding experiences for athletes at all skill level. Beginner’s classes are offered on Wednesdays after school, and intermediate and advanced swimmers practice on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

Swimmers who demonstrate exceptional performances during practices and interscholastic competitions are affiliated to the Nicaraguan Swim Federation.  This permits these students to represent ANS in national swim tournaments.
