Welcome letter to K5 parents!

 

           Things to do at home to help your child:

  • Read short stories every day.
  • Play number games back and forth (missing number)
  • Play rhyming and opposite games in the car
  • Draw picture or cut out pictures from magazines that begin with the letter of the week.
  • Practice left and right and other positional words: over, between, in, out, above, under
  • Cut out the vocabulary words used in the thematic units and make flash cards.
  • Use sight words to make sentences.
  • Use pictures to match the letters.
  • Do a Bingo game using the sight words and the letters that we have studied
  • Do a number Bingo game.
  • Ask your child to speak in complete sentences.
  • Use first, second, next, last word s to retell the stories.
  • Give a first sentence prompt and then ask your child to finish the story.
